Long-Term Update: StarknightMT Maverick X3 Cargo Box Review

After putting the StarknightMT ecosystem through its paces over an extended period of hard trail riding, it’s time for a quick update on another essential piece of gear: their heavy-duty rear cargo box. If you’ve spent any time on dusty, technical trails, you know that finding a storage solution that actually seals out the elements is rare.

As you can see in the exterior photo 1 , our latest trip left the entire machine coated in a thick, fine layer of trail dust. In the past, this kind of airborne silt would easily find its way through factory gaps and ruin any clothes, electronics, or gear stored in the bed.

The real magic happens when you pop the heavy-duty latches open. As shown verbatim in photo 2 , the interior remains completely spotless. Even with the outside completely caked in dirt, the heavy-duty rubber gasket creates an absolute seal, keeping the toilet paper, spare clothes, and riding gear bone dry and dust-free.

It has held up incredibly well over time against constant vibration, rough rocky paths, and low-hanging branches.
