I've been using the Quad Lock 1" Ball Adapter, Vibration Dampener, and Wireless Charging Head for over a year on a daily basis with both an iPhone 12 Mini and a Google Pixel 8. This combination has proven to be a solid and reliable solution for securely mounting and charging my phone while riding. However, my experience has also taught me some important lessons, especially regarding the need for the vibration dampener.
Initially, I installed the Quad Lock system on my BMW 1250 RTP without the vibration dampener, and within just 30 minutes of riding, the camera on my iPhone 12 Mini was completely ruined. Additionally, while the wireless charging head works well, it does generate some heat during extended use, especially in warmer weather. However, this has not caused any functional issues with my devices.
Another consideration is the price. While the Quad Lock system is a premium product, the cost of purchasing the mount, vibration dampener, and wireless charging head adds up quickly. However, given the protection it provides for expensive smartphones and the convenience it offers, I believe it is a worthwhile investment for serious riders.
